Remember my choreography rating refers to the complexity of the choreography in the workout–not the intensity. Your chest and butt will let you know that this workout is definitely a little more than just cardio. +There are a LOT of push-ups and exercises done in the squat position. You can get more information about that here. This post may contain affiliate links which won’t change your price but will share some commission. Since I don't yet know what I'm setting up in terms of video, I have decided to offer up this Insanity-Workout-inspired haiku, which commemorates the time I saw the Insanity Workout infomercial on TV ( check it) and insisted that we all get on board the fit train, thereby establishing myself forevermore as a girl of poor judgment:
Certain death awaited us both with big sharp nasty pointy teeth, but somehow we muscled through. Today we consulted our Menu of Misery and found to our mutual disgust that we were up against a Twofer Tuesday combo platter: Max Cardio Conditioning *plus* Cardio Abs. (Aaron will still have to edit the video, however, since I try to restrict my usage of programs and products whose names begin with a lowercase "i." Nothing good ever comes of it.) First I wanna give a hey-what to all my peeps - BK is here for you. BK here, with a special guest blog entry. Hello again and welcome back to adventures in Insanity. Just to show you who we've been hanging with for the past two months. No, Beth will not be doing likewise.īut I thought it might be fun to do a "bods of Insanity workout" calendar. So for all the folks out there who were asking to see more of me shirtless (you know who you are!), you're in for a treat. On another note, we both decided we should show off our gnarly bods as much as possible for the next few days. Probably after a few late night ice cream binges. I'm hoping that we both decide some sort of physical exercise should play a part in our lives. This crazy routine has become such a major part of our lives, it's hard to imagine what it will be like without it. Never again will we have to do "Full Body Drills" or "Side Suicides" or those confounded "Floor Switch Kicks." So I gotta give her a mad "hey what!" for that.īetter than that? Well, we can now throw THAT CD out the window, too. She's quit on Shaun T more times than you can say "jack it up." But NOT TODAY! She totally killed it. Today's workout was Max Interval Circuit. In fact, the light at the end of the tunnel seems to have energized us both. Though the truth is that it's 63 days total, not 60 as advertised! Blast you, Shaun T! Fit tests, and extra weekends and all that. Wow, we're getting close to the end here. My very useful visor, which kept all the sun off my face. My trusty-and very helpful-knee brace after about 50 days without a wash. Well, in the inimitable words of our guru and mentor and dear overlord, Shaun T, "Peace. We might even pop in an Insanity DVD now and then and relive the glory.
But, all that said, I'd totally recommend this workout to anyone.
Plus, being sick toward the end feels somewhat anticlimactic. Lots of core improvement (including back and abs and posture and gait and all that) but also some funky injuries (knee and muscles mostly) have mitigated some of the progress.
We'll probably both want to do some sort of postmortem down the line. Overall, it's hard for me to say exactly what this whole experience has meant. If we inspired anyone to get fitter or think about getting fitter, then we accomplished something pretty cool. We're also proud of any of you who decided to do something healthy (whether it be a workout or a diet or just getting up to change the TV channel) for yourself. It really meant a lot to have people rooting for us. We want to thank everyone for being so supportive. Compare this to Day 1 and see if you can spot the differences. Here's a pic of how we look now, by the way.Īlright, alright. There's also a lot of other fun visuals we've collected. It's a tad long but hopefully entertaining enough. I thought I'd show the entire thing on the video. Can you believe it? We sorta limped to the end there, but finally put the finishing touches on this Insanity Workout.
